  1. Dear Ann,
I read this story a while ago here, and it made me cry. Somehow I've thought about it on quite a few occasions. The true courage that is silent and often won't ever be rewarded or recognized. It's good for all of us to be reminded of that, to be reminded of our own preconceptions so I appreciated you sharing this moving story. On the eve before the elections I - as the Dutch saying goes - am bracing my heart. Unfortunately, Trump is no outrageous American phenomenon, this is happening everywhere - on many different levels and it's scares me that it does not seem to be recognized for what it is. I hope just hope enough people who have half of a brain will go out and manage to vote. Now in the States, next week somewhere else. We have our fair share of ugliness here. And no, I guess Hillary is not the answer......but what the hell is the alternative? What a sad place to be in. I'd go for the Maths. It will survive all of this. x Patricia
